We are an interdisciplinary group that founded a design studio dedicated to exploring and decoding the challenges of the 21st century. We concentrate computational, social and spatial knowledge in order to design and deploy adaptable spatial systems for future challenges.
50SuperReal actually began by acts of spreading awareness regarding the reality we face given the environmental conditions, the growing global population and the predictions of urban growth until the year 2050, as well as the numerous social challenges our society faces. This focus came with exploring the aesthetic trends and movements of this young century, trying to understand what influences and changes our tastes and affinities inside a community, as well as deepening the understanding of how our own field is influenced. This aesthetic curiosity has been an important aspect of our work as our design methodology is set in general to reflect the times and act as a mirror to society.
