A propos

Ayuda en Acción (AeA) is an NGO that fights against poverty and inequalities since 1981 in 21 countries in Latin America, Asia, Africa and Europe (Spain and Portugal). We promote solidarity among people in a global world so that those who suffer from poverty, exclusion and inequality can develop their capabilities and achieve their aspirations for a dignified life, in a sustainable manner.

Our intervention in Spain and Portugal focuses on two areas of work:

1. Education: we promote inclusive and equitable quality education, to combat early school leaving and the intergenerational transmission of poverty, through educational innovation projects in the classroom and the community.

2. Employment: we promote employment and entrepreneurship so that all people have opportunities to carry out an activity that provides a decent and sustainable income that improves their living conditions.

Our intervention model recognizes the fundamental role of women in development processes, ensuring equal opportunities and eliminating any type of discrimination, making them protagonists in community development processes.
