We are a state-funded national museum, part of the structure of the Bulgarian Ministry of Defence. Under the umbrella of the National Museum of Military History in Sofia thrive also three branches - the Naval Museum and the Park-Museum of Military Friendship 1444 "Vladislav Varnenchik", both situated in Varna, and the Aviation Museum in Plovdiv. The Museum is a cultural and academic research institution dedicated to the Bulgarian, European and World military ;
