Student Media World Association (SMWA) is a dynamic non-governmental organization (NGO) headquartered in the picturesque town of Blagoevgrad, Bulgaria. Established with a passionate commitment to fostering modern and sustainable development values and practices, SMWA is dedicated to bridging the gap between society and the environment. With a core mission to explore, address, and combat pressing environmental challenges, the association operates at the forefront of environmental advocacy and action.


SMWA has made significant strides in its pursuit of sustainability, with a notable track record of successful projects under its belt.

Notably, the organization has proudly executed two Transregional Projects, made possible through the Interreg IPA CBC Bulgaria - Serbia and Interreg VI-A Greece-Bulgaria initiatives. These projects have underscored SMWA's effectiveness in fostering cross-border collaboration and promoting innovative solutions to regional environmental issues.


What sets SMWA apart is its highly qualified team, composed of individuals with a wealth of expertise in various facets of environmental protection, sustainable waste management, circular economy principles, and educational services.
