DEX Innovation Centre (DEX IC) is multidisciplinary innovation centre from Czech Republic with activities mainly in the following areas:

1) Entrepreneuship and business support

2) Research and innovation support

3) E-Solutions

4) Innovation infrastructure

 

OUR SERVICES

Development of interdisciplinary international innovation and research projects

We develop projects using the following methodological steps:

  • Evaluation of topic, selection of most appropriate financial instrument
  • Performing Desk research in relevant topic (search for past project, current state of the art of S&T, etc.)
  • Formulating of Project Fiche, which describes basic project idea
  • Preparation of Logical Framework of project
  • Selecting right partners for the project through Partner search
  • Management of development of project content through iterations with whole partnership
  • Proposing Project budget for the whole project, negotiating Budget with all Partners
  • Collecting contribution from Partners, filling and writing of all sections of Application Form
  • Administrative preparation, collection of administrative data and documents, performing quality control
  • Submissions are based on financial instrument requirements

 

Management of interdisciplinary international innovation and research projects

 

As part of Technical Assistance we provide the following services (we can directly fulfil these activities or act as an advisory body for Coordinators/LPs) :

  • Solving all requests from the Managing Authority of Financial Instrument during the Contracting procedure/ Grant Agreement Preparation Phase
  • Draft all official documents ( Partnership Agreement)
  • Preparation of Progress reports at project level, solving Clarification requests with Managing Authority.
  • Managing partners during preparation of Progress reports and during solving of Clarification requests
  • Act as a point of contact for the Managing Authority
  • Solving of technical issues related to project implementation according to Financial Instrument specific requirements ( budget shifts, content changes, any other project change, partner change etc.)


As part of Project Management we provide following services (we can directly fulfil these activities or act as an advisory body for Coordinators/LPs):

  • Define detailed project plan, introduce cloud based tools supporting the project management (project management system, virtual meeting system, cloud storage) and update progress
  • Manage all day-2-day communication with partners
  • Organize and moderate virtual meetings (monthly), project meetings (half-yearly) and steering committee meetings (half-yearly)
  • Ensure quality management
  • Ensure delivery of outputs in requested quantity and quality
  • Support WP leaders in preparation of common methodologies, common RTD activities or managing of other partners in WPs
  • Perform Finance Controlling and Finance management at project level

DEX IC´s role: Author of project idea, external expert of coordinator

Project description: The main objective of the project is to boost usage of PPI by Public procurers across Central Europe. It will be achieved by development of SMART PPI2Innovate Tool and by facilitating sustainable Network of PPI Competence Centers.

 

HoCare (Coordinator: ANEL)

Programme: Interreg Europe

Project duration: 2016 - 2020

DEX IC´s role: Author of project idea, external expert of coordinator

Project description: Project HoCare aims to positively influence efficiency and impact of Structural Funds. It has additionally three thematic sub-objectives related to the natural generation of innovation for Home Care in regional innovation chains.

 

InoPlaCe (Coordinator: RERA)

Programme: Central Europe

Project duration: 2011 - 2014

DEX IC´s role: Author of project idea, external expert of coordinator

Project description: Project objective was to improve framework conditions for innovation for Young Innovators, where we defined Young Innovators as any person under 35 years with innovative idea.

 

PPP4Broadband (Coordinator: AIEC)

Programme: South East Europe

Project duration: 2012 – 2015

DEX IC´s role: We supported AIEC (DEX IC´s sister organization, which created project idea) in coordination of project

Project description: Initiative targeted regional and local public administration to support them in building of broadband infrastructure using PPP financial scheme; 9 PPP4Broadband models developed, National Centres of Excellence established

 

Autoclusters (Coordinator: Automotive Cluster – West Slovakia)

Programme: South East Europe

Project duration: 2009-2012

DEX IC´s role: Author of project idea, external expert of coordinator

Project description: The activities by project were strictly oriented on activities improving the innovation capacities in region and improving technology and know-transfer. Project addresses main challenge in automotive industry in SEE territory, which is lack of usage of innovation and RTD capacities in this industry in region.

 

Autonet (Coordinator: Automotive Cluster – West Slovakia)

Programme: Central Europe

Project duration: 2010 - 2013

DEX IC´s role: Author of project idea, external expert of coordinator

Project description: Autonet was international network of automotive clusters and other supporting actors supporting Innovation in Automotive industry in CE. The project had 3 main challenges: development of new services for automotive SMEs, international matchmaking in R&D, technology transfer and cooperation with relevant stakeholders in creation of policies and policy tools supporting innovation in CE Automotive industry.

 

Clusters-Cord (Coordinator: Regional Development Agency of Usti Region, PLC)

Programme: Central Europe

Project duration: 2010 - 2013

DEX IC´s role: Author of project idea, external expert of coordinator

Project description: The project aimed to improve regional capacity in the management and development of clusters through the exchange of experiences and good practices and development of direct cooperation among existing actors. The project was focused on the following 5 industries based on analysis of 70 clusters in 10 European regions: Energy & Environment, Food, Tourism, ICT and Health.

 

NovelStim (Coordinator: Fraunhofer)

Programme: H2020 (FET OPEN)

DEX IC´s role: We supported Fraunhofer in re-submission of project in FET Open call which included coordination of whole re-submission process and rewrite of the application form (project received 4,8 points from 5). At the same time DEX IC is organisation responsible for leading Dissemination and Exploitation.

Project description: Project aims at shifting the paradigm in the field of electro stimulation in nervous tissues and muscles.
