ETA2U is an active player on the Romanian ICT market as solution integrator since 1992 with HQ in Timisoara and branches in Bucharest and other 6 important regions in Romania. The company is focused on delivering complete ICT solutions and services.
ETA2U is market leader for central and western Romania with more than 220 employees. ETA2U is organized in distinct Business units; each specialized in a core activity (SW Development, Infrastructure, Innovation, ICT Service & Support, Image & Print, Training and Helpdesk). Strategic partnerships with all notorious brands where established during the past years, all backed up by certifications and general recognition form the brands.
The biggest integrator in terms of High Performance Computing systems for academic research in Romania with more than 20TFps installed in several technologies (IBM BlueGene/P@4096 cores, IBM BladeCenter w Intel @400Cores, IBM BladeCenter w GPU Tesla) and integration of all components of datacentre (electrical power, security, networking, computing, storage, virtualisation, backup) offering end-to-end solution (from design to cloud services).
In recent years ETA2U has diversified its portfolio to include solution offerings in:
- Industrial IoT – Wireless snesor networks (WSNs) through LPWAN technlogies such as LoRaWAN, IoT devices connectivity and aggregation, IoT infrastructure and middleware design, IoT service and messaging buses implementation;
- Cloud Computing – IaaS to SaaS, the company delivers infrastructure and services to set up cloud computing environments for its clients;
- Big Data - data management and analytics with technologies such as Hadoop.
In terms of research and innovation, the company has started gaining experience since 1998 when it started out with a strategic goal to implement self-financed projects to better improve its service offerings and overall quality of services delivered to customers. After 12 years of doing small self-financed RDI, ETA2U has shifted its more ambitious projects towards public financing, working firstly with local RDI funds like our national research program and, starting 2011, also with international funding programs like FP7, CIP, Eureka and, now, Horizon 2020.
