AVITEM is a french public agency dedicated to sustainable, integrated urban and regional development in the Mediterranean.

Founded in 2012, following the ministerial conference of the Union for the Mediterranean on sustainable urban development in Strasbourg, AViTeM’s main goal is to establish a system for experience sharing, expertise, training and cooperation with a view to promoting integrated and exemplary approaches to urban and regional development amongst stakeholders from France and Union for the Mediterranean countries.
