I am Vittorio Lumare, a Robotics Systems Engineer with 10 years of experience in service robotics and I have zero budget.
Activity: My main activity is designing and implementing Robotics and AI prototypes, mechatronics, software, firmware, everything in the tech area.
Current project: a low cost 3D Printed myoelectric transradial prosthesis providing a hand with 5 active DOFs.
I already have a fully working prototype and it's just a matter of improving it, making it compliant with the regulations to make it sellable and usable in the respect of the regulations (MDR).
Currently, due to the high cost of these devices, the national healthcare systems in Europe provide just a tridigital prosthesis with a single DOF, so who cannot afford to spend 10-15k EUR, will never get access to multi-articulated prosthesis.
Calls: I am looking for any call which can support my project, I want to make the low cost myoelectric prosthesis of new generation a reality, also for who currently cannot access them. Medical device is complex and expensive to maintain, I cannot do it by myself, I need help from EU.
My cooperation activity: I will manage the project from the technical point of view, training the other people on the development, on the future improvements and on the manufacturing.
