Social Mentoring for Integration - SOMENTI provides access of migrants to psycho-social care in Hamburg, Germany. We network with professional services working in providing social support to clients, in coaching and psychological or psychiatric care. The model is based on low threshold support for the prevention of chronic disease, social isolation and legal uncertaintes during the asylum recognition process. It aims at strengthening self-management and resilience of clients in a new cultural and societal environment. Thus we promote integration by supporting the management of new daily routines and the people's ability to face the challenges of integration when they are psycho-socially burdened.

SOMENTI is building the capacity of young migrants with language talent and advanced ability to speak German and supports them to become a freelance translator.
