A propos

Nowadays,

general,

software

 

for

 

numerical

 

simulation

 

of

 

injection

 

moulding

 

 based

 

on

 

an

 

3D

 

approach,

 

including

 

the

 

Navier

‐

Stokes

 

equations

 

with

 

the

 

inertia

 

and

 

gravity

 

effects.

 

To

 

date

 

several

 

commercial

 

and

 

research

 

three

‐

dimensional

 

simulation

 

programs

 

for

 

injection

 

moulding

 

have

 

 been

 

developed.

 

This

 

document

 

is

 

focused

 

on

 

the

 

validation

 

and

 

simulation

 

of

 

injection

 

moulding

 

process

 

through

 

the

 

application

 

of

 

Computer

 

Aided

 

Engineering

 

(CAE)

 

software.

 

Several

 

kinds

 

of

 

simulations

 

are

 

explained

 

in

 

this

 

document

 

and

 

some

 

case

 

studies

 

are

 

presented.
