Dr. Kılınç received his , , and degrees in Computer Engineering from Dokuz Eylül University in 2002, 2004 and 2010 respectively. During this time he both continued his academic career and worked in industry. For more than 15 years, he worked as a software specialist, software architect, project manager, software department manager and executive board member at well-known software companies in Turkey. He was also one of the co-founder of Nesnel Yazılım.
He worked as an associate professor at Manisa Celal Bayar University, Department of Software Engineering. He also worked as the head of Computer Research and Application Center for 3 years at the Celal Bayar University. He is currently working as an associate professor at Bakırçay University, Department of Computer Engineering. His research interests include software design/architecture, data science and machine learning. He published over 50 peer-reviewed papers in these ;
