The National Agency for Quality Assurance in Education and Research is an administrative authority under the Ministry of Education, Culture and Research of the Republic of Moldova. The Agency performs its functions in the following fields: primary and secondary education; vocational education and training; higher education, continuing education; research and innovation. The agency has the following functions: external quality evaluation in primary and secondary education; vocational education and training; higher education; external evaluation of training programs in continuing education; external evaluation of organizations in the fields of research and innovation; evaluation of scientific and scientific-didactic staff; control over the quality of primary and secondary education, vocational education and training, and continuing education, compliance with the requirements for accreditation and authorization of entities offering study programs and educational services.
