Icpe is a Romanian medium enterprise covering a wide range of innovative concerns in the field of ELECTRIC ENGINEERING. The main carried out activities are focused on Research & Development in engineering as a basis for fabrication of new and innovative products. Based on an elite team composed both on experienced researchers and young ambitious engineers, Icpe is involved in many RDI national and international projects. Recently there was successfully finalized seven EU FP7 R&D projects and several national. Presently there are three ongoing EU H2020 projects and nine national RDI projects, that covers different thematic. The strong R&D capacity has its roots in the company history, Icpe foundation being 68 years ago as a Research Institute. During the time, in different development stages, Icpe targeted economic growth on the basis of existing experience and achieved competencies capitalising. The Icpe’s production branches are concentrated mainly on niche products manufacturing and customisation. Considering that the progress can be enriched only through continuous investment in R&D, attracting more end-users, responding to challenges by different strategies such as alignment with the Circular Economy paradigm and the actual trend that consider the new industrial revolution, the drivers for development are proactively set-up. Servomotors, special electric machines, industrial automation components, renewable energy, space, power apparatus, special electric cables, real time protection systems and products testing are different facets of Icpe’s today profile. Icpe has as main goal the obtaining of innovative technologies and products, efficient and competitive, without harmful impact of the environment. The strategy for the future have in its core to: maintain as player among the competitors, increase the number of clients, enter on new markets, develop new products, became a green smart factory, approach new domains.
