Echolight was founded in March 2010 as a spin-off of the Italian National Research Council (CNR). It is the product of the collaboration between its five founders. Its goal is improving diagnostic care for osteoporosis, creating solutions that will improve the precision and accessibility of tests for patients worldwide. Headquarters are based inside the University and Research Campus Ecotekne in Lecce (Italy), plus additional headquarters in the industrial area of Lecce, one new American subsidiary in Seattle (opened last May 2020).
Echolight is currently following EU calls in EIC Accelerator programme, AAL calls and potential EU and Italian calls aimed at validating and promoting research in the field of ultrasound imaging.
