Croatia Green Building Council (CGBC) was founded in 2009 as a non-profit non-governmental organization with mission to become a nationally wide platform for the promotion of sustainable building ;
The CGBC is a consensus based non-profit organization wherein all activities of the CGBC are initiated and managed by its members and partners, with the intention to create a platform for implementing green building principles, not only in Croatia, but also in CE Europe region, by cooperation closely with GBC’s network in neighboring countries.
Celebrating the ten (10) years of playing an active role in the real estate and construction sectors in Croatia, CGBC has grown into a network of one hundred and fifteen (115) members and more than twenty (20) institutional partners, over twenty (20) media partners and almost eight thousand () professionals listed in the partners database. Alongside taking part in several international and national projects in the field of green building, sustainability and renovation strategies, CGBC organizes high profile events, almost on monthly basis. In this way CGBC continues to raise the awareness, bring together relevant stakeholders from various interdisciplinary backgrounds, educate professionals and to offer a platform for exchange of ideas, know-how and experiences as well as connections between policy makers and industry leaders.
