I have worked in technology & product development for over 15 years, including both technical and business development roles in the aerospace, transport & energy sectors. Ongoing work with Boeing Research & Technology includes project management of advanced technology programs in energy storage, microgrids and electric propulsion.
My approach is to try help private and public organisations identify business opportunities in low carbon technologies, and develop technologies & products, by providing technical input to de-risk R&D strategies, developing and project managing R&D and demonstration programs.
Over the past ten years I have successfully developed several public/private partnerships and consistently secured funding for product development and commercialisation programs, as well as collaborative and demonstration projects. To better understand the interaction between technology & policy development I also work regularly as an independent expert for the European Commission (REA/ESA, FCH JU and INEA).
I advocate for greater recognition of sustainable low carbon strategies in R&D and policy programmes. I believe low carbon technologies present tremendous opportunities for economic growth on the transition to a low carbon economy.
