Photosynthetic B.V. was founded in 2018 in Amsterdam and is focused on the development of novel rapid microfabrication technology. We are working on an extreme-speed micro-3D printing method for polymer-based fabrication that fits in the gap between traditional 3D printing and nano- or micro-resolution 3D printing (Two-Photon Lithography). Our approach allows printing 3D structures with sub-micron feature sizes while covering cm-scale areas in minutes (Customer case: 20 mins vs. 20 hours). Examples of end-user applications for our technology include the fabrication of microneedles for drug delivery/vaccination, microfiltration membranes, bio-scaffolds for tissue engineering, and many others…

So far, no other fabrication technologies have been able to merge these features into one technological solution, which makes our volumetric micro-lithography a breakthrough innovation.
