I am working with Tanzania Coffee Research Institute (TaCRI) in the post of Agricultural Economist. My major responsibility is to undertake research along the coffee value chain with major aims of describing and understanding the diverse farming and livelihood systems in the coffee-growing areas of Tanzania, to identify and prioritize the constraints to productivity and profitability and to propose a possible area for interventions. For the past nine years of working with TaCRI, I contribute to implementing the following projects: Tanzania Agricultural Sector Trade and Support Program Phase I 2008/09 to 2011/12 and Phase II 2012/13 to 2015/16. Also CFC/ICO/45 Project on capacity building on coffee certification and verification standards.
