A propos

The Institute for Applied Sustainability (Inas) is a privately funded research institution located in Ingolstadt. It is recognized as an affiliated institute of the Ingolstadt University of Technology (Technische Hochschule Ingolstadt, THI) and the Catholic University of Eichstätt-Ingolstadt (Katholische Universität Eichstätt-Ingolstadt, KU). As an institute cooperating closely with these two universities, Inas links humanities and natural sciences as well as technology with social issues. The possibility to bring together different faculties and disciplines from two universities is a great benefit that Inas offers. Inas sees itself as a platform and hub between science, business, politics and society in order to merge the strengths of the different stakeholders. Therefore, the institute’s mission is to bring together necessary competencies of the various actors to develop feasible and sustainable solutions for the challenges of our time.
