Confartigianato Imprese Vicenza is a private not-for-profit entrepreneurs’ association and Business Support Organisation (BSO) based in the city of Vicenza, north-east of Italy. It was founded in 1945 and throughout its 70 years of activity it has grown to become the largest employers’ organisation in Italy with over 20,000 members (17,000 of which are SMEs). It is part of a regional and national confederation of BSOs, namely Confartigianato Imprese, which is also a founding member of the umbrella organisation SMEunited (European Association of Craft, Small and Medium-Sized Enterprise) in Brussels.
Its mission is to represent and safeguard entrepreneurs by supporting their actions to improve the local economic and social context. It aims to represent business values effectively in the development of policies that are favourable to employment, wellbeing and the quality of life. Finally, its objective is to disseminate an entrepreneurial culture that respects the values of craftsmanship and SME-management, actively participating in the governance of the local territory in the full interest of its companies and of civil society.
