My name is Begashaw Meberate, an agripreuner from Ethiopia. My profession is agriculture, graduated with a Master's Degree in Rural Development Management from Bahir Dar University with proven experience in the agriculture sector. I am the CEO and Founder of Bfarm-Tech.
It is a digital startup Agribusiness that has been providing mechanization services for smallholder farmers in Moretena Jiru Woreda, North Shoa zone, Amhara region since 2020. Bfarm-Tech has more than 500 customers and generated a total of $USD 36,400 in revenue from only mechanization service which created a total of 11 job opportunities for permanent and casual employees. On top of providing agricultural mechanization service for smallholder farmers, we have recently developed a web-based mobile app and website that links farmers with mechanization service providers in Ethiopia.
