Director Peter Jackson, well known for the "Lord of the Rings" trilogy, says that the most honest way to make movies is to make a movie about yourself.
This project is inspired by the events of TiranaEYC 2022 and contributes to the enrichment of audiovisual production and education of the youth of Tirana with European contemporaries. The project is divided into two parts, education about the film genre and the power of storytelling and the production of short film by mixed teams of amateurs and professionals.
The films will have topics that discuss gender equality, youth employment in Tirana and the future aspirations of young people in Tirana and Albania. There will be an open call to recruit teams of professionals and amateurs who will apply with the idea to make these films. The project shall introduce a concept that they can be owners of their own fate and it is important to understand the power of storytelling in the digital age, combined with the video medium and artistic characteristics.
