We believe that every student, regardless of their background, deserves access to quality education. Our project, SOMA Digital Library, is a bold step towards achieving this goal. Together, we’re working to bridge the digital divide in East Africa by providing affordable, accessible digital textbooks and establishing supportive study spaces. This initiative is more than a library; it’s a place of learning, growth, and opportunity for students across Somalia, Kenya, and Uganda.

Project Objectives

We want to make essential academic resources available to a wider range of students, regardless of their location or financial situation. Our goal is to establish study spaces that foster collaboration, focus, and productivity.We’re equipping students with the tools and skills they need to succeed academically and in their future careers.

To build Build a Sustainable Future we developing a self-sustaining model, we’re working to ensure that SOMA Digital Library remains a lasting resource for students in East Africa.

Project Rationale and Impact

In East Africa, many university students face significant challenges in accessing quality education. Textbooks are often costly and hard to find, and students frequently lack suitable places to study. These barriers hold back talented, motivated individuals who simply need the right resources to thrive. SOMA Digital Library is our answer to these challenges. By providing digital access to academic resources and creating dedicated study spaces, we can help students overcome these obstacles and reach their full potential.
