Project Summary:

The Silent Artouch project is a 4 months of culture and social art activities in Cyprus with ceramic workshops and special environment to engage, professionally, people with mobility and communicating disabilities, to create ceramic masterpieces inspired from ancient Cyprus and Europe.

Also to setting up a European special social cooperation enterprise to set up a collaboration between society and people with special abilities for sustainability and  social inclusion.

General Objectives:

The main goals of this project is to:

• Engage and training people with mobility and communicating disabilities in ceramic ancient creations from Cyprus.
• Create and promote ancient art masterpieces in Cyprus and in Europe.
• Establish a sustainable social cooperation enterprise on art creations.

Specific Targets:

• Create an identification and evaluation tool for people with mobility and communicating disabilities to define what artistic concept is suitable for each person .
• Design and create ceramic pottery masterpieces inspired from ancient artifacts on the museums  in Cyprus .
• Develop special artwork skills and experiences on ceramic pottery techniques.
• Create personal profile and career portfolio.
• Create e-Gallery and a media channel for effective marketing worldwide.
• Participate on the process to setting up a European special social cooperation enterprise.
• Establish a collaboration between society and people with special abilities for social inclusion.
• Organize open discussions with brainstorming of ideas and research.

Activities and events:

• Experimentation on soil collection, forming, textures, glazing and firing.
• Visiting the Cyprus Museum and other public ceramic pottery collections.
• Ceramic workshops.
• Create and develop personal profile.
• Create e-Gallery and media channel.
• Organize exhibitions in Cyprus and Europe.
• Meetings and discussions to setting up a special social cooperation enterprise with authorities, NGO’s, artists and special schools.

Artworks, specialities, objects :

• Re-mate ceramic pottery masterpieces inspired from ancient Cyprus and Europe.
• Jewelry creations inspired from ancient Cyprus and Europe culture.
• Ceramic murals.
• Techniques for special textures from nature from textiles and glazing.
• And much more.

This project starting on January and ends on April 2018.
On April 2018 we will have professionally trained, on Cyprus ancient and modern ceramic creation, members with mobility and communicating disabilities.
Also we will establish an Institution for social and culture development in Cyprus for people with mobility and communicating disabilities.
We are interesting to have partnership with other organizations in Europe in order to connect with them and exchange our acknowledgment and experiences in a proposal on  KA2 call.
Also we are interesting to have interns with abilities to have this acknowledgment and experiences of this project.
