We have developed a business plan, outline the operational strategy for commencing a simplified commercial aquaponics farming project in Sri Lanka. This project is to implement as a partnership project between a local company and local farmers in the area. Through this project model farm is to be set up training local farmers in technology.
Aim of this project is to shift local farmers from traditional linear cultivation and aquaculture practices which are damaging the environment. The aquaponics production system is a good closed-loop model where resources are used locally without producing waste. We look for creating a partnership with European NGO who can find part financing for this project. The project aims to achieve SDG goals 2, 6, and 13.
