Independent Trade Union Confederation-FETICO is union organization created in 1978, with national scope and multi-sectoral structure. In 2023 Fetico is one of the most representative Union in Spain. It has more than 78.000 affiliates and representation in more than 400 companies from all sectors of economy. Fetico brings together 14 regional federations and has headquarters in more than 31 cities.
As social agent our main objective is the promotion of the employment and the improvement of socio-labor conditions of workers. But our aims go further than the defense of the labor issues. We try with our activities to foster social progress values such as solidarity, equality, and respect to diversity.
Our scope of work can be structured in the following areas of activity: Social dialogue; Training; Employment; Health and safety at work; Equality, Diversity and Inclusion in the workplace; Social Responsibility-CSR
Fetico is deeply involved in the activation of the labor market in Spain, to improve employability we develop two main activities:
- Training, most of the target groups of our training plans and programs are groups with difficulties to enter or re-enter to the labor market as women, low qualified people, long-term unemployed adults, migrants. During 2023 we have trained more than 2.500 people from these priority groups.
- Professional support and job guidance. Fetico is accredited as Employment Agency by the Spanish Public Employment Service. About 300 people have been attended during 2023 in this guidance service, achieving a placement rate of 20%.
Fetico carries out extensive activity at European level, participating in projects, initiatives, and networks to promote dialogue, exchange of information and mutual learning with other organizations in those areas of interest for our organization. At national level FETICO is member of the Spanish network “Alianza para la Formación Dual” and the "Spanish Charter of Diversity". At European level FETICO is part of the European networks "Digital Skills and Jobs Coalition" the “European Alliance for Apprenticeship” the “European Pact for Skills”
Fetico has implementing numerous projects both at National and European project mainly in the areas of training, employment and social innovation aimed at promoting sustainable inclusive and quality employment ( .... )
