My name is rmando Gamarra. I am a university professor in Argentina. I am looking for european partners to present a R & D Project to HORIZONS EUROPE or other european agencies. The project deals with the application of a new, high performance, biochemical/biological reactor to the recovery of heavy metals or other toxics from waters. The reactor works with imovilized enzymes or cells. It has been tested at the University of Sao Paulo, Brazil with very interesting results. Applied to the production of ethanol, we attain fermentation times as low as 4 hours. Conventional fermenters take between 23 -24 hours to do obtain the same ethanol concentration in the broth.
