The Language Revitalization through Digital Engagement project, acronym LANGREVIVE, aims to enhance linguistic activism by leveraging digital tools and social platforms.
The project focuses on adults with upper secondary education, residing in areas where minority languages are at risk. Through this initiative, participants will engage in a comprehensive training program covering topics such as digital marketing, podcasting, and video production.
The strategic objective is to foster increased motivation for linguistic activism and to empower communities with the skills needed to promote and sustain their languages.
The project will achieve its objectives through a series of activities, including the creation of digital content, participatory community events, and the development of a training toolkit accessible across the partner countries.
Partners involved include Grika Milume in Puglia (Italy), Jalò tu Vua (Calabria) and Tree Agency (Estonia), the latter as a technical partner, representing a diverse collaboration across educational and cultural heritage institutions.
The overall impact is expected to be an increase in digital literacy among participants that supports both language preservation and regional economic resilience, positioning minority languages as vital components of their cultural identity and heritage.
