The overarching goal of the project is to advance our understanding of the molecular mechanisms of novel pollutants (personal care products, pharmaceuticals, pestiides) and hypoxia tolerance using fish and mollusks as model systems and establish molecular biomarkers suitable for early-warning detection of pollution and hypoxic stress in the changing water ;
