This Project is meant to establish the first makerspace in Gaza strip. Gaza Makerspace will create a learning and collaborating environment aiming  at providing hundreds of Gazan youth with an access to physical space, equipment and training. It will facilitate rapid d development of new, indigenous and innovative technologies, and creation of a culture of engagement with innovative ;

Gaza MakerSpace project is an exciting, robust, and evolving project that will create and sustain an exciting location where young people and community members can engage individually or in teams develop STEAM (Science, Technology, Engineering, Art, and Mathematics) related and integrated projects. MakerSpace is built to provide the location, tools, techniques (education), support, and encouragement for innovative and creative work. Gaza Makerspace will give Youth and young people access to state-of-the-art equipment such as CNC mills, laser cutters,3D printers and much It will also provide access to working space, computers, regular power supply, software, internet, and finance, prototyping tools like, Arduino, Raspberry Pi, Intel Edison and many others. Gaza Maker Space will be The Digital Fabrication Lab for Gaza's Youth and young people.

Gaza Makerspace contribute to the achievement of  the 17 sustainable development Goals, through an integrated work with  high schools and universities and Gaza’s community. It particularly focus  on GOAL 4 and GOAL 8, as decent work and economic growth required quality of education.

Public hearing, consultations and focusing groups were conducted with civil society groups, Community Based Organizations and Ministry of Education. We considered it expedient to consult some of the potential key stakeholders in such project, to ascertain the effectiveness of maker space as creative methodology to encourage students to design, experiment, build and invent as they deeply engage in science, engineering and tinkering. The outcome, significantly, reflected the undoubted enthusiasm of such potential stakeholders to be able to avail themselves.

This project will be implemented in Gaza city in total engaged around 300 (both female and male) in the course of 22 months through makerspace methodology and technique. At the end, project products will be introduced to the market through an exhibition.
