We are searching for partners to develop a project to submit to "European Instrument for Democracy and Human Rights (EIDHR): 2017 Global Call for Proposals (EuropeAid/155232/DH/ACT/Multi) - Lot 1: Supporting Human Rights Defenders in the area of land-related rights, indigenous peoples, in the context of inter alia 'land grabbing' and climate ;
The main idea is to create strategies to help Supporting Human Rights Defenders combating the climate change and its impact to indigenous peoples. These are among the first to face the direct consequences of climate change, owing to their dependence upon, and close relationship with the environment and its resources. Climate change exacerbates the difficulties already faced by vulnerable indigenous communities, including political and economic marginalization, loss of land and resources, human rights violations, discrimination and ;
