This festival will be the first event of its kind bring together knowledge, ideas, actors and enthusiasts from across Europe with a goal on sharing, learning and accelerating change in the area of sport, physical activity and adventure sport. There is a lot of activity now across Europe in terms of taking gender equality in sport forwards, as well as using sport as a tool for social integration and meeting other societal goals. This activity can be seen in research, at grass roots levels, in professional sport, and yet progress is slow. The opportunities for sharing and cross-fertilisation at a European level in a collaborative environment are sparse. Smaller scale national conferences or events on womens sporare not uncommon but now is the time to bring this drive together in a European level meeting place focused specifically on creating change and forward ;
