COHECF KENYA is a young NGO based in Kitale town of Kenya. We operate under five key pillars of health, education, agriculture, peace, youth and women empowerment.We have a lean team of 4 and we are looking for a partner for this idea of Digital storytelling for Social Change.

Storytelling is a powerful tool that can Educate, Empower, Motivate, make people to Learn, and Inspire hope in the Community. Many people, including women and youth, are going through a lot in this era, and Storytelling for Social Change can help them not to give up in life. Many women and youth have lost hope in life for many reasons, and it’s our duty as a community to bring them back to life so as to have the oomph to pursue their career goals. This project was born with the idea that many people worldwide have gone through several challenges and managed to overcome them.

In real life, you find that no challenge is unique in itself. The challenge you are facing now was faced by someone else before, and it’s my thinking that the person who had met such a challenge back then can advise the one facing it now or those who might face the same in the future on how to overcome it. The project intends to provide a digital platform for people to view and listen to stories as told by real people about the challenges they faced and how they were able to overcome such challenges. In the end, the viewers will be able to get Educated, Empowered, Motivated, Learn, and Inspire hope in their lives and offer therapy to the storyteller.
