The Municipality of Galati is under the process of contracting Energy Efficiency Services with the Technical Assistance of EBRD (European Bank for Reconstruction and Development) through the Pilot Programme in Romania for energy efficiency in public sector, with the participation of energy service companies (ESCO), with the aim of energy rehabilitation of the public buildings (5 schools and 1 hospital).
The propsal demonstrates, promotes and supports holistically the energy transition, particularly the energy community and distributed energy resources (DER), paradigm shift at a Regional Level, aiming at creating, facilitating, enabling, managing and regulating Regional Energy Transition Spaces (RETS) for consumers, prosumers, regulators and other energy market stakeholders.
The proposal is based on a case study, at lifecycle stage and will examine the transformation of consumers into prosumers with the support of the Galați Municipality Digital platform.
