the Law Dept. of University of Palermo is looking for partners outside Italy, Universities &Research centers, to take part in the call for proposals for action grants to support transnational projects to enhance the rights of persons suspected or accused of crime and the rights of victims of crime -ID: JUST-2021-JACC -
The project idea is addressing the “Cultural crimes and cultural defences within family”. Through analysis, research activities and the production of training materials for judges, prosecutors, lawyers and law enforcement officials, the project aims to identify social/legal keys of interpretation which serve, on the one hand, to contribute to the effective and coherent application of criminal law, also at the European level, in the area of the rights of persons suspected or accused of cultural crimes within the family; and, on the other hand, to contribute to the effective and coherent application of EU criminal law in the area of the rights of victims of such crimes.
