Strand 2: Democratic engagement and civic participation: Network of Towns

Under this measure, municipalities or regions and associations working together on a common theme in a long-term perspective are invited to develop networks of towns to make their cooperation more sustainable and to exchange good practice.

IDEA: Creation of a digital observatory /network on cross-border emigration with personal testimonies from different European countries, with the aim of raising awareness of historical memory and the European Union's common values, promoting events, debate and discussion, and a CROSSING LAB.
The reasons for emigration, travel and crossing the border, arrival in a new country, the last frontier, the European Union, humanist values and new migrants, among other topics to discover with testimonies in the first person. Example: Portuguese and Spanish emigration from the 1950s to the present day.

PARTNERS: municipalities from at least 4 eligible countries.

ORGANIZATIONS: Towns / municipalities; Other levels of local/regional authorities; Federations/ associations of local authorities; Non-profit organizations representing local authorities.
