Reduce time and cost of producing floating platforms for wind turbines using Robotics and visual servoing for aligning large parts, and then weld them together with a home developed welding robot, which includes the real-time process data monitoring and manufacturing control. Major impacts will be reducing overall assembly cost by more than 20%. Moreover, SHM systems will be integrated on floating wind turbines to reduce maintenance costs, and increase productivity of energy, with direct impact on reducing the LCoE. All these technologies can reach TRL7 by the end of the project, and IRT Jules Verne can be a leading partner for proposal preparation and project execution.
