I am working on behalf of the Municipality of Concesio (IT), and more precisely I represent "BICO - Biblioteca di Concesio", an innovative public library near Brescia. 

Our main topic of interest is contemporary art, and the role of public cultural institution in spreading it towards non-conventional publics; we believe that art can be a societal and paradigmal agent of change, a key tool to understand reality and new challenges of our time: for this reason we would like to promote a concept of "Art for everyone", exploiting the fact that we, as a public library, are a free, democratic, inclusive place of participation, an institution which can potentially engage with every citizen.

Speaking of target, we have thought about young adults (age 20-30) as the primary audience of this project; however, we would like to engage them in making content that can be later used inside art exhibitions and laboratories (within the library) in order to make art more accessible and inclusive. This would mean, for example, video-content explaining the artworks' making of, audio interviews, podcasts... this kind of content is useful to let elderly people, or people with hearing or vision related issues, in order to let them access and understand art.

We would really like to partner with other municipalities (or their affiliated entities) interested in the theme of art, or more in general, in citizens' engagement, accessibility and public library's role transformation. 

We will also provide the consortium with our specialized grant-writer consultants, which support us in managing the application paperworks and writing the project.
