CAME project is a grass root based project in Uganda which will work to support women, youths and disabled persons in districts of central and western become resilient and sustainable in pursuit of a more equitable world. CAME  is an innovative, safe, active, inclusive, collective, representative and connected mechanism for women, youths  and disabled persons to benefit 20 Districts of Central and Western Uganda.

Positive contribution of women and youths are backbone of a society when their participation is enhanced .Uganda’s women and youths face a state deprivation since the origin of this society. They have no or limited roles in decision making process or leadership program at the local and national level- UNDP ,Survey report 68 percent of country’s population is under 25 years. Isolation of women and youths either intentionally or unintentionally has lead to many of them to be victims of  drug abuse, sex exploriation, depression, early marriages, school dropouts ,highway rebel groups etc. This therefore seeks for women and youths potential groups and actors for structuring future of  Ugandan  especially these marginalised groups. Ashowed Charitable Organisation main focus are young women and youths in order to improve and promote their social and status and prepare them to become leaders for bringing change at their communities through Civic education, leadership skills for participation in decision making process, skills development and capacity building program.

There is a great and effective work to be done for  women and youths to make  feel empowered and train them for playing an important role in their  society today .This project will be working closely with women and youths in Districts of Kassanda, Mubende, Kyegegwa,Mityana,Kiboga,Kibaale, Mpigi, Wakiso , Kyenjojo and Kamwenge  districts of Uganda. This project is desgned to provide gender awareness ,peer learning, knowledge sharing, leadership  and advocacy trainings directly benefiting women, youths and disabled persons advocates, media campaigns through radios printed media and boards  .The media campaign will reach almost all generations in the target area and raise awareness about active roles in civic society and policy initiatives. The project will adopt a (PVCA)  sensitive strategy, where all the activities will be planned and conducted in a way that the negative impact will be avoided communities identity risks and develop and implement community actions, plans focusing on empowering women  ,youths and disabled person. Many women, youths and disabled person will be reached by this project .Women  and youths’ experience needs and views be integrated into the political ,legal and social decision that determine peace ,sustainability ,reconciliation and development. This project will  advocate for  promoting  women’s, youths and disabled persons contribute to fostering a culture of peace.

This project will make women, youths and disabled persons fully aware of their rights and responsibilities in the society which has been neglected in rural areas. They  will be encouraged to take part in community development and better understand their roles in the region and Uganda at large through  acquiring skills and knowledge for information they advocating  for transparency ,accountability within  governments (local and central) mainly for values, processes ,procedures ,actions, activities and messages for  the who society .The beneficiaries of this project are women, youths and disabled person  who are vulnerable groups
