I teach English and Ballroom dance.  Over the years, ballroom dance has proven to be an effective tool for healing trauma, resolving differences between couples, and empowering individuals on a social level. When adult refugees enter their new country of residence, they come in with a defeated sense of identity. However, what about the children's sense of identity? What defeats in their personal identity are they grappling with, and how can ballroom dance resolve this defeat and alchemize it into an opportunity for healing and growth? 

I am looking for a school to partner with to create an after-school program for Ukrainian refugees.  The objective is to create a program that will develop a ballroom dance program that will help boost self-esteem, create healthy connections, and develop English speaking skills.
