Zukunftsforum Windhaag (ZFW) 2011 "Jugend macht Demokratie"

The "Future Forum Windhaag" ist a plattform in which each year, about 1000 young people between 17 and 25 ages will discuss among each other and with politicians a topic relevant to them. The theme for 2011 is "Youth makes Democracy" and the project is divided into the Symposium in Windhaag, the "Ideenwettbewerb" and the "Futre Workshops". The aim of the project is the political education of the participants and the empowerment to become active themselves. The Symposium takes place from May 13th to May 15th 2011 and will offer 60 youngsters the opportunity to to deal with the topic "Challenges for a sustainable Democracy" together with 5 experts. In the "World Cafés" they can discuss their newly gained knowledge with politicians. Further the results shall be transformed to new project ideas which can be brought in the "Ideenwettbewerb". In the "Future Workshops" the participants will have the possibility to realize their project ideas with the help of mentors. In the end of the project there will be a theatre play as a closing event on May 15th 2011 where the working results can be presented to 300 youth, regional politicians and the media.
