Zukunft Europa
Date du début: 1 juil. 2014, Date de fin: 30 juin 2016 PROJET  TERMINÉ

The Academy Überlingen N. Glasmeyer GmbH has been training within the limits of vocational programms young disadvantaged people in various professions for more than 15 years. These young people possibly won´t only work in their native country in their future working life. Thanks to the liberalness within the European Community they can work and live relatively unproblematically in different European countries. This experience of professional mobility should be brought close to the participants of the project „Future Europe“. Initially the project was considered to be carried out with a Lithuanian partner organisation. But soon it turned out that this is a vocational school where they only offer educational periods at school, which wasn’t so clear at the beginning. But in the course of the non-operational training we are committed to prove the assignment in a company (a minimum of 40 working days per year of training). Furthermore, one of our professional core areas lies on the horticulture and landscape architecture, but in Lithuania this job outline doesn't exist. So we realigned and took notice of a horticulturist school in Valencia (Spain). In cooperation with the language school in Valencia, with which we finally entered into memorandum of understanding for the requested project, the participants got the opportunity to carry out a practical training of 3 weeks in a Spanish company during their apprenticeship. In the course of this, beside the practical work directly connected with the profession, they also experienced intercultural competence which not only left lasting improvements and changes in their own worldview and their sympathy for other cultures, but also made them receptive to job-seeking all over Europe after their apprenticeship and this way avoiding unemployment. This project could be attended by 50 young people who were doing the second or third year of a non-operational training. This number was calculated corresponding to the expected amount of trainees in the respective courses to consider at that time. The participation was finally certified by the Europass Mobility. For the participants´ preparation it was necessary that also the teaching staff could get information about the training conditions in Spain. For this reason, we offered seminars of 14 days each for 10 members of the teaching staff.
