The project is based on the partnership between Obrtna tehnička škola Split, Croatia and company Your International Training from Cork, Ireland. Intermediary company Martello Training has helped in finding the partner organization in Ireland . Obrtna tehnička škola has participated before in projects of Leonardo da Vinci mobility: three times in partnership with the vocational school of Meaux in France, and once with the company Vitalis from Germany. We used the experiences gained in these mobility projects to prepare the application of the new mobility project. Specific goals of this mobility project are incorporated into the European educational priorities and strategies for vocational education and refer to specific needs of participants. These are : familiarization with new equipment and technologies in the field , exploring the different organization of work through job training at companies / workshops, exploring the cultural and historical heritage of Ireland, the improvement of social and communication skills, development and improvement of transversal skills: critical thinking, taking initiative, problem solving and participation in teamwork, as well as popularization of craft. Our participants are fifteen selected students from their final, 3rd year in 2014./2015., educating for the profession of car mechanics, car plumbers, auto electricians, electrician – mechanics and carpenters. Two selected professors of the practical group of subjects will accompany them. The mobility will last for two weeks: from March 15, 2015 to March 28, 2015. All the students will have pre- requisite cultural, linguistic, pedagogical and informatics preparation for mobility, within which the school will have additional English , history , art history , geography and computing lessons , while the school psychologist will take part in pedagogical preparation. Implementation of mobility project will include: school project team ( school principal, head of practical training and leader - coordinator of the project ), teachers-companions who participated in previous projects, English teacher, history teacher , teacher of fine arts , geography teacher and teacher of computing. During mobility, students will carry out practical training in specialized companies/workshops. Their work will be constantly supervised and monitored by the teachers and experts from the workshops. Teachers - companions , who are also students' mentors and monitor their progress in craft workshops, where they perform practical training , will have the opportunity to visit the Irish companies and become familiar with their structure and organization. At the end of this mobility, students will receive certificates from school and partner institution, as well as the Europass Mobility document. Participation in this mobility project will encourage development of personal and professional skills of the participants. Advancing the professional level , along with prosperity on personal level, contributes to better employability and professional competitiveness in the labor market. Participating in mobility, teachers-companions will enhance their professional experience and competence, as well as improve language and communication skills . Participation in this project will have positive effect and create quality experience for all teachers involved in the project (school project team, teachers who participate in the preparation of participants). After completion of mobility, school will conduct the project evaluation, dissemination of results at the level of institutions and also on the local/regional/national/international level. Students- participants and school will fulfill their final reports.
