The project "I know English, I can do more" concerns ten teachers of Educational Centre in Koszyce who are willing to improve their language competence and learn how to use new teaching methods. The participants of the project are the people who are ready to take up new challenges connected with their job. They are open to innovations and willing to have a real influence on the development of school in its European dimension. Educational Centre in Koszyce is an institution placed in a rural area. Its teaching staff aims at continuous improvement of the quality of its educational services and sees a huge chance for development of both school and local society in cooperation with other European schools. By implementing international projects, the school wants to make its educational offer more attractive and open this small and closed society to Europe. Until now, majority of actions undertaken at school were concentrated on students and providing new teaching equipment. At present, the school priority is reinforcement and development of the potential of the teaching staff for the future international cooperation and making the teaching process more attractive by implementing new teaching methods. The results of the project will have a huge influence on students, their parents, local society and other institutions in the region. They will become an inspiration to undertake different actions on the international level and indicate new ways for development. The participants of the project will improve their language competence, modernize their teaching skills and gain precious experience for their work and future international projects. Thanks to the two-week- training courses in Ireland, the teachers will built their self-confidence and strengthen their language skills. What is the most important, they will establish international contacts and let their school spread its wings in the context of European dimension.
