The participants of the project - Secondary Vocational School of Trade and Services, the branch of study – hotel academy (20 students), Nábr. J. Kalinčiaka 1, Prievidza - the host organisation Ekip Europa in Spain Both participants of the project have rich experience in the field of gastronomy what helps to meet the objectives of the project: - Get to know the foodstuffs of Mediterranean gastronomy and their nutritious value, learn how to cook them - Improve and gain new skills and knowledge of methods of cooking fish meals, seafood specialities and local foodstuffs - improve language skills in Spanish language - raise personal self-confidence due to stay in abroad - get employee benefits - learn the inovations in the field of practise, enhance the preparation for the future career - internationalization of the studying The result of the internship are new skills in cooking. Students will make an anthology of healthy diet recipes what is considered to be a specific long-range contribution for improving hte quality fo education. In order to meet the objectives of the project the following methods will be used: - get students acquinted with Mediterranean foodstuffs, visual method - repetition and fixation of methods of work within one-month stay - evaluation and assessment (in accordance with ECVET) Expected outcomes of the procject: - Our students would like improve their skills and gain new skills and knowledge of methods of cooking fish meals, seafood specialities and local foodstuffs because Spain gastronomy is considered by experts to be a good example of healthy diet. - Improve the methods and skills of cooking new foodstuffs, learn how to make use of their nutritious value - Improve the quality of education by making an anthology of healthy diet recipes in accordance with the local restaurant where the students worked. This is considered to be a specific long-range contribution for education and curriculum. -Make new liaisons and find friends at workplace, get to know other culture and mentality. Our students have been studying Spanish language for several years, so meeting this objective might be easier for students. -Motivate the students involved in the internship to improve their language skills in Spanish language which is a complusory subject in our school
