The main motivation for the project presented is an effort to improve quality of our school´s graduates (their key professional competencies, knowledge and skills) in the specialization of Medical Assistant and Masseur, to and the quality of educational process and internationalization of our school. We are trying to achieve objectives of project through special cooperation with establishments providing health and social care abroad and organization of professional internships of students in partner organizations. Partner organizations (Spa Luhačovice Co., CZ; Orchard House Midlands Ltd, UK; Hospice at Sv. Kopeček Olomouc, CZ) were selected regarding to the needs of participants, the content and practical training of our students in these fields given by the education and training programs for those health departments. Demandingness of both medical professions requires extensive professional knowledge, skills, broad general outlook, which will be supported thanks to project through international professional work experience during their studies at a secondary school. The main objectives are: a) to carry out foreign working internships for students. The total number of participants is 22, of which 18 students (4 of 4th year and 10 of 3th year of Medical assistant and 4 of Masseur) and 4 accompanying teachers. The internships are divided into 4 two week's runs. b) to allow participants to: b1 professional development of key competencies, self-confidence, activity, independence; b2 to support their ability to engage in work in a strange environment, with unfamiliar staff and in different cultural environment in another country; b3 to develop the language competence – understanding the common professional terminology and work instruction, communication with clients and motivation to study a foreign language, to solve common situations beyond the workplace; b4 to get to know people from different cultures; The activities of the project include: communication with partner organizations, planning the work programs of the participants so that they could contribute to the development of their professional skills, conducting linguistic, professional and cultural training , conducting scheduled courses, internships, and evaluation of results, monitoring the project progress and dissemination of the results of project . Description of the runs of the internships at: a) Hospice at Sv. Kopeček CZ (4 students of Medical Assistant ("MA"), 4th year, plus 1 accompanying person ("AP") X. 2014 b) Hospice at Sv. Kopeček CZ (5 students of MA, 3rd year, plus 1 AP) VI. 2015 c) Orchard House Midlands Ltd, UK (5 students, MA, 3rd year, plus 1 AP) VI. 2015 d) Spa Luhačovice, CZ (4 students of Masseur, 3rd year, plus 1 AP) VI. 2015 The main content of internships a-c , is to observe and implement working procedures, attitude to clients , to use the newest working aid, derma - protective agents, additional bed aids, team work organization, employment of client, to get familiar with hospice and palliative care. It is important for the trainees in the UK to apply English language in the workplace and in everyday situations. The main content of internships d, in Spa Luhačovice is to present to our students the abilities of application, therapeutical effects and use of medicinal mineral springs, climatetherapeutics on a wide range of disease, which are used in this spa, the use of these therapies in children from an early age to youth. Last but not least they will be able to assess the development of the use and application of medicinal mineral springs in the past and present. Project outputs: a) implemented internships for 22 participants (of it 18 students) of our school, certified by Europass Mobility; b) intensive language, cultural and professional training; c) observation, application and comparison of styles of working in health care facilities and social services facilities in the EU with devices in SR - processed in the presentation; d) obtaining new work experience by the internship participants, teachers, other staff involved in the project; processed in the presentation; the modernization and internationalization of the educational process of the school; e) establishment of new cooperation with the three EU organizations whose focus and activity is interesting for secondary education in medical school; f) articles being published on the results of the project in the regional press, the school website, Impacts: a) improving of competencies and personalities of the graduates of our school, which will contribute to improving of the health care personnel in Slovakia and to increasing of their employability b) increasing of the awareness of educational system in health education of SR in international organizations and vice versa c) motivating the students to get better study and better working results d) modernization and internationalization of the educational process will increase the competitiveness of our school.
