Zilele Educatiei non-formale pentru toti!
Date du début: 1 juin 2011,

Please give a short description of your project (approximately 10-15 lines). Please note that if your project is approved, this paragraph may be used for publication. Therefore be accurate and include the venue(s), the type of project, the theme(s), the objectives, the duration in months, the countries involved (in case of a trans-national project), the number of participants, the implemented activities and the methods applied. This summary should be completed in English, French or German, regardless of which language you use to fill in the rest of this application. Please be concise and clear.Between September and December 2011, LEAP - Link Education And Practice, will be organising Non-formal Education for All, a series of seminars aimed at young people from Bucharest, Iasi, Cluj and Timisoara. The seminars and adjacent activities will focus on non-formal education and youth policies, their impact on young people's employability and the role other stakeholders have in promoting, supporting and designing projects and policies. Thus, the project will bring together all those who have a say in, and are directly affected by non-formal education and youth policies.Up to 500 young people will take part directly in the seminars that will take place successively in 4 cities during 4 days each. The participants will thus get acquainted with non-formal education and youth policies and how non-formal education can support them in their personal and professional development. Our project will also beneficiate from our partners' active involvement in organizing some of the seminaries allowing more fields of activity to be approached and provided as examples in which non-formal education can represent an asset in personal and professional development. The fields of activity and the partners that will design the specific seminars will be selected during the preparatory stage of the project, based on previous research and will participate voluntarily as an exchange of good practices. This specific research and selection is already being aided by our strategic partners, the university career guidance centres from the four cities where the event will take place. Moreover the deliverables obtained from the seminars will be further used and disseminated; as the workshops can only accommodate a limited number of young people the project aims to reach a much wider audience via the Non-formal education portal. The portal, a longstanding LEAP project, will serve as a means of disseminating the workshops' deliverables, not only to young people, the main beneficiaries of the project, but also companies, academics and policy makers.
