Zawód moją przyszłością - edukacja zawodowa w zakresie nowoczesnych metod ochrony środowiska
Date du début: 15 déc. 2014, Date de fin: 14 déc. 2015 PROJET  TERMINÉ

A group of 16 students attending 3rd year of Technical Secondary School in Tychy received a monthly theoretical and hand-on training concerning modern methods of waste management and environment protection in April 2015 in Rimini, Italy. 160-hour vocational training is required by the national curriculum for the environment specialist degree. The partner organisation was an Italian company Sistema Turismo, which has been our partner for the past three years. Thanks to the training, the students have learnt about the process of water purification, water management and controlling water, soil and air quality. They have also participated in classes held at so-called “ecological island” in the area of Rimini. Moreover, the beneficiaries were familiarised with modern methods of waste collection, dumping and recycling. Besides, they studied the processes of designing the environment protection systems and their monitoring. The project participants visited several companies dealing with the environment protection which made the students acquainted with the functioning of modern companies following the UE regulations in this area . Taking part in the project has not only enriched the school curriculum but it also developed the students' organisational skills (recording information, ordering theoretical knowlege and putting it into practice, recording practical activities in special training diaries), social competences (group work in an international team, developing employee-employer relationships) and last, but not least, the foreign language competences which enabled the students to broaden their professional knowledge, acquire practical skills and to improve their foreign language competence (using basic communicative structures and phrases in vocational context). The students have learnt basic Italian structures used in daily situations. The project gave us an opportunity to prepare environmental protection professionals in a broader sense. The training surpassed the curriculum covered at school, which enabled the students to enrich their vocational skills and competence. Therefore, the students have developed their knowledge and skills more than regular students, which enabled them to share the knowledge with the students doing their professsional training in their home city. The final products were methodological resources prepared by the students themselves (multimedia presentations concerning the selection of problems in the area of the environment protection in Rimini, Polish-English-Italian minidictionaries, the lists of eco-friendly habits and solutions for the town council of Tychy, school, and private homes incorporating the Italian solutions). The participants of the project have received Europass Mobility documents. As with our previous experience, it was proven that taking part in the project increased the students' motivation towards learning, and also that, the environment protection field gives a wide variety of finding employment on the local, regional, national, and European labour markets. The project has developed the School staff's organisational competences and has been an important element of School's public promoting in the local area. The project has enforced the School's postion as a reliable partner to carry out international projects. Moreover, it has also promoted Tychy as a green and eco-friendly city.
