The main idea of the proposed project is to establish cooperation between two youth organisations, one from Slovenia and one from France through realizing long-term EVS project named Zavod O - StartUp. Project will equally involve a young french EVS volunteer in the regular activities of Zavod O youth center in Škofja Loka, Slovenia, for the period of 11 months. The activities will start in septemebr 2016 and end in august 2017. During this period a young EVS volunter will became member of the regular stuff and as such he will help at numerous tasks from different fields. Together with leadership of the organisation, its new young activists, through actions will define future direction of the hosting organisation, he will organize and carry out different programme activities of Zavod O, from various cultural events, music festivals, workshops, multimedia events and so on, in this way the participant will get familiar with the work of youth organizations and organizing cultural and other events from within. He's range of work will be as wide as the activities of the hosting organisations are. He will be active in the field of art (drawing, painting, graffiti, mosaics, sculpturing), field of music (help at music events as sound and light techician, support), multimedia (video production, photography, video, animations), IKT technology (web sites), design (designing logos, flyers, posters...), PR activities (promotion of Zavod O, multiculture, youth mobility, Erasmus + program, EVS,...), meintenance of Zavod O infractructure (building, painting, renovating, welding...),sustainable way of life (use of recycling materials, permaculture, ecology, healthy food, joga...). The volunteer is already selected.The project is consistent with his EVS expectations, but in addition to that we put some more attention to his hobbies. Because he is environmentalist, we put some more focus on the importance of sustainable development of society and raising the ecological awareness among young people by organising worksops and projects on this topics (re-use of already used materials, sustainable living and development), many activities will be carried out according to the principles of DIY and DIWO, young people will gain experience that will prove them that they are able and capable to repair and re-use various tools, objects, materials, without paying the expensive plumbers, architects, designers and other professionals. This supports the idea that people can create by themselves from materials which can be already worn out for some purpose, but can be still very useful for some other purpose. With this attitude we encourage young people to hold more active position and attitude towards their own lives, in which they are not only consumers but active co-creators of their environment and their own future.The main objectives of the project is to educate informally young person, equip him with new competences, experiences, knowledge and skills to be more employable and to be able to successfully compete in the labour market, while in at the same time offer him a positive working experience of international exchanges through which we will promote mobility of young people and employment opportunities in other EU countries. Not only the volunteer who will be hosted will gain from the project, but also local young people involved as activists in our organization, as they will participate in activities, where EVS will take part of, they will learn from one another in a multicultural environment. Through it they will gain for such a small town as Škofja Loka, yet very much needed European dimension of viewing the world. At the same time, we will present and promote the Erasmus + programme among local youth and motivate them for participating at any of the existing programs in the future. In this way, through the examples of good practice, we will significantly impact on the increase of mobility of young people. In addition, the project aims to positively influence and spread the values of the EU among other residents of the local community many local residents will be indirectly involved since into the project through collaboration with various organizations and individuals. Also special promotion of the project will be made through organization of planned cultural events. Because of the working method used in the project, that is, community work, connecting actively the volunteers with local residents and local active young volunteers, we will also promote inter-generational cooperation, transferring of knowledge and skills from older to younger and solidarity among young volunteers.
