Zahraničné skúsenosti v odbornej praxi zdravotníckych asistentov
Date du début: 1 juil. 2014, Date de fin: 30 juin 2015 PROJET  TERMINÉ

The main aim of the mobility project named Experience in Professional Practice of Healthcare Assistants Acquired Abroad is to provide a selected group of students attending the Secondary Nursing School in Lučenec with an opportunity to take part in professional practice in facilities providing healthcare and social services of developed EU member states, thus, allowing them to acquire new skills, experiences and knowledge. The project lasts a year and 22 students are going to visit Denmark, Germany, United Kingdom and the Czech Republic throughout it. The participants are the 3rd and 4th grade students of the full-time four-year study programme Healthcare assistant at the Secondary Nursing School in Lučenec – the students who have achieved the best study results not only in vocational but also in general subjects and the foreign language course. The selection criteria included study results, very good Average Grade and a polite, outgoing and trouble free attitude during the whole study period. Divided into 7 groups, the participants will perform their practice in the cities/towns of Plymouth (UK), Horb am Neckar (DE), in the region of Funen (DK) and Prague (CZ). All the work placements will last 21 days except for the one in Prague which will take 2 weeks. The first three visits are going to start in October 2014, the others start at the end of May 2015. Regarding mobility projects, we have had good experience in cooperating with most of the organisations involved herein; however, this project involves a new partner – the College of Nursing and Secondary Nursing School in Prague. The receiving organisations will ensure the participants are provided with board and lodging, useful information and help while dealing with problems that arise throughout their stay. During the visits their performance will be assessed by a supervisor of the receiving organisation who will be monitoring and looking after them. They will also be in touch with the Coordinator of the sending organisation, and they will keep a journal, filling it with results, experiences and performance data. At the end of the visit the participants will get the Europass – Mobility documents and certificates of the sending organisation signed by the receiving organisation. The receiving organisation shall also produce an evaluation of the completed practice. Those who performed their practice in Plymouth will also take an educational course in English; after successfully completing it, they will obtain transferrable credits. The aim of the project is to enable the participants to gain new experience and competence in using modern, innovative methods, techniques and aids (e.g. positioning and self-care aids) or in the field of culture, social traditions and language. The participants will get familiar with the healthcare systems and vocational education of the receiving countries; they will be able to compare them, and their knowledge will be of help not only for them but also for other students. One of the objectives is to strengthen and maintain the partnerships in Denmark and Germany, the educational organisation in the United Kingdom, and establish a new partnership in the Czech Republic. Apart from professional and personal development of the participating students, we find the exchange of information, knowledge and experience between our partner organisations and us, and the healthcare system we represent, to be very advantageous as well. Concerning the national and regional level, these mobility activities will stabilize our position in the system of Slovak secondary schools, they will enhance the quality of education provided, which might encourage the young people´s interest in this type of education. We hope that by engaging in this project activities we will take part in the process of increasing the number of qualified healthcare assistants, which is the job that is becoming highly needed in the states of the European Union nowadays.
